Exodus Cry. The Mission Briefing
Exodus Cry exists to answer the crisis of modern day slavery. We are raising up a global prayer revolution that will confront the powers of injustice that are enslaving our women and children. We can have all the awareness campaigns, all the activism, but the reality is, if angels and demons do not move, nothing will change. Exodus Cry is summoning an army of intercessors and prayer warriors to arise and contend for the ending of slavery in our generation. www.exoduscry.com @exoduscrykc

Feeding Time
Ari came to me this morning and pointed for me to get this baby off the shelf. I thought it was June's so I gave it to her and he got the funniest look on his face and then he took it back. Next, he walked to the kitchen and got a bowl and spoon from Mal, climbed up in his high chair and started feeding the baby. It was just too cute not to share.

Larwill and more
Sunday we drove to Larwill to hear Curt preach. He expounded on the Word of God in a meaningful way! In 9 months, Curt will birth a new ministry as he finishes up his pastoral training and seeks God's direction for a pastorate. Following the Lord's Day Service, we joined Curt & his family in a wonderful fellowship meal.
Afterwards, we followed Curt home so the kids could nap. Kati was tired and slept, but Moses wanted no part of it because he knew his Oma & Poppe were in the house. Since Curt is on call and we won't see him for Easter, we brought Moses & Kati their Easter fun bag. Moses, like his father, speaks the universal language of Candy as you can see by this photo.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
I wish everyone could see the beauty of a place they can call home, and know that their heart will always have a place to come back to...
This is Not GoodBye
I can see it in your eyes that you are restless...
The time has come for you to leave...
It's so hard to let you go, but in this life I know, you have to be who you were made to be.
As you step out on the road, I'll say a prayer, so that in my heart you always will be there
This is not goodbye
I know we'll meet again, so let your life begin, cause...
This is not goodbye
It's just I love you to take with you until you're home again
Still your soul may have left you wondering, should you stay or should you go
Just remember that your dreams, they are a promise that you were made to change the world
So don't let fear stop you now, cause...
This is not goodbye
I know we'll meet again, so let your life begin, cause...
This is not goodbye
It's just I love you to take with you until you're home again
And you know the one that rides the star above was created by the one who loved
But then will ever hold so God you really know
What started as a still small voice reaching out in your only choice is to follow who you are
Is to follow who you are...cause...
This is not goodbye
I know we'll meet again,
This is not goodbye
I know we'll meet again, so let your life begin, cause...
This is not goodbye
It's just I love you to take with you until you're home
It is I love you to take with you until you're home
It is I love you to take with you until you're home
...again

I opened up my email to this message this morning from Chuck Lofton:
It is the last day of winter, with the Vernal Equinox coming in at 1:14am. We have hit at least 70 degrees for 7 straight days, another record for the month of March. With the exception of an isolated shower/storm today, we should be warm and dry until Thursday. Today, by the way, we will have 82 for a high, the old record is 78 back in 1921.
Maybe I should have titled this picture "Daffodils in Winter" since I shot it last Wednesday.

A Light Exists in Spring
Wow! This is the earliest spring I can remember. Last Sunday my Forsythia bush had absolutely no blooms at all and today it is in full bloom. My red bud is about ready to bloom and we have daffodils, hyacinths, and crocus in full regalia. Nearly absent of winter...early spring...what does it all mean?
A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here
A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.
It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.
Then as Horizons step
Or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound
It passes and we stay —
A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
As Trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a Sacrament.

Happy Birthday Buddy!
Yep, He will always be my Buddy, this man of mine... this man that God gave to me as a gift. I mean, really, the chances of the two of us meeting must have been one in a kazillion considering I came from an Air Force Family and he was raised down here on the farm. I admit it...I haven't always appreciated him the way I should, but I have always loved him. I am blessed to celebrate another St. Patrick's Day Birthday with the man that I am growing old with... We went to Red Lobster content to just sit and talk. We weren't in any hurry to get anywhere so we barely noticed that it was taking a long time for our food to come. Okay, Marlin told me later that he noticed, but didn't care. I, on the other hand, was oblivous. The funny thing is that the waitress forgot to put our order in so we ended up getting our entire dinner FOR FREE and they even gave us two coupons for $5 off the next time we came! Now wasn't that a pleasant surprise?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARLIN!

This is the reason He came...
You are meant to share life with him – not just a glimpse now and then at church, not just a rare sighting. And you are meant to live his life. The purpose of his life, death, and resurrection was to ransom you from your sin, deliver you from the clutches of evil, restore you to God – so that his personality and his life could heal and fill your personality, your humanity, and your life. This is the reason He came!”

Good Morning After Goodnight
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. ~1 Thessalonians 4:17
The death of a loved one through prolonged illness, serious memory impairment, or unexpected trauma is a life-changing experience. But when families are separated by distance, illness, or death, we experience the bond of family love that cements souls together. How comforting to know that God sees each tear and hears each cry. He also sees the joyful reunion that awaits believers.
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet...the dead will be raised incorruptible..." (1 Corinthians 15:52). The imagery describing the Rapture is noteworthy: In biblical times ambassadors were sent to usher a visiting king into a city. That's what Almighty God has planned for us. He's sending Jesus to escort the living and those who have died into heaven--to never be separated again.
We do sorrow when death parts us from loved ones--but not without hope. The Cross removed the sting of death that permanently separates. If you are grieving a loss today, meditate on the destiny that awaits believers--that most blessed reunion in the sky!
...It is but a good night to those we hope to see with joy in the morning. ~Matthew Henry

Cousins
We packed a lot into this short weekend stay. Opening night with The Lorax...staying up late...sleeping together on the top bunk...playing Mario Brothers...matinee with Mr. Poppers Penguins...
...playing at McDonald's Playground...painting...playing cards...and games like Who am I?
I think the kids had a blast! I know I did! Saturday night, Alex passed out on the couch next to me at 7 pm and slept for 12 hours! After church on Sunday, we let the kids play in the Liberty playroom at the church for about an hour before we went to Red Robin for lunch. I think Monica and I had a grand time too when the kids weren't looking. *wink! This is the stuff that memories are made of...until next time!

The 8th is just as exciting as the first...
Loving babies and grandchildren as I do, I have to say that the 8th is just as exciting as the 1st. We don't know the sex of the baby because Ben & Monica want to be surprised. I just realized the other day that when this baby is born, Ben & Monica will have the eldest grandchild and the youngest grandchild...until Curt & Julie join the club with a third one of their making. Remember Curt...you're in last place... haha!
...And speaking of races...Monica ran the Chicago Marathon when she was just barely pregnant. I wonder if this baby will be a runner, a trainer or a doctor who specializes in sports medicine? Whatever he/she decides to do, I'm sure we will all be proud! I don't know about you...but I'm looking forward to June!
