Reception Under the Stars

I remember all the help we received from family and friends as we prepared for Emilie's wedding this year so in that spirit, we offered our services to Joyce, Jerry, Matt and Rachel in any way that they needed us.  I expected when we left for Idaho that we would be busy every day with wedding plans, but it was really laid back.  Rachel, having experience with conference services at Nampa Nazarene University, had it all under control, but she saved the best for us.  We got the honor of setting up the tables the day of the wedding so she could do the girlie thing that brides need to do on the day of their wedding.  Marlin and I were assisted by "Aunt Joan".  She was such a help and a really all around wonderful woman who loves her niece like she was her own child!  It was great getting to know her and work along side of her.  We finished our set up at 4:18 pm, raced home to change and were back by 5:30 pm.  It's a good thing the Sawtooth Winery is only 11 minutes from Joyce & Jerry's home.

I can't get enough of kissing pictures at weddings!!

White linens with burlap runners adorned the tables with fresh cut olive branches from the Janzen ranch. Candles with various styles of candles sticks and votives finished out the adornments.

Joyce with Aunt Joan who is very photogenic if I don't say so myself!

It's a Schrockapalooza whenever these girls are around!

One Wonderful Wedding

Our trip out West centered around this one big day. Our Nephew, Matt Janzen was getting married!  It was the perfect day for a wedding at the Sawtooth Winery in Nampa, Idaho.

Joyce & Buddy wait for the events to begin.

The Bride and Groom are now man and wife, Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Janzen.  It was such a lovely ceremony complete with a Chuppah made by none other than Jerry Janzen himself. Doc would be proud Jerry to know that he was a part of Matt's wedding day!

Congrats to the Happy Couple!

Steak Night

So my brother in law raises good old grass fed Idaho beef (Black Angus I believe).  Since I have been on the Rotation Diet, I have not been able to eat any beef for a couple of weeks now.  That ended tonight with one hecka tender steak! I have tried my best to stay on my rotation diet but food keeps getting in the way!
Good times...really Matt!

My steak was ooohhhh so good along with my pepper fried potatoes and Jerry's grilled pineapple.

Showing the grandparents a thing or two.

Good food...Good View

Next year's steak night!

Craft Day in Nampa

My Monogram
The little pink purse can emboss almost anything!
Whenever the Schrock girls get together, crafts and creativity are at the center of the commotion.  Today we made cards.  I have to say, I don't whip them out as fast as the others do.

Showing our cards off...
